Join the NYS Writers Institute for a conversation with m.s. RedCherries, poet and citizen of the Northern Cheyenne Nation, whose award-winning debut collection mother follows a young Native American adopted by white parents as she reconnects with her family, culture and ancestral homeland. This event is Free and open to the public. Books will be available for sale and a book signing will follow the conversation. Cosponsored by the English Department’s Creative Writing Program and Young Writers Project, UAlbany’s Writing & Critical Inquiry Program (WCI) and the Honors College.
