About this event
The AI & Society College, as part of the SUNY Advancing AI for the Public Good Initiative, is collaborating with SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Cobleskill and Hudson Valley Community College on a series of projects designed to expand opportunities for AI-infused teaching and learning across the region. Through this initiative, the College is hosting its inaugural AI for Good Challenge, a two-day hackathon-style competition taking place on October 16 and 17. The event brings together students and faculty from participating SUNY campuses to collaborate on developing creative solutions to a real-world social challenge through the thoughtful application of artificial intelligence.
The goal is not simply to develop a technical solution, but to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration by drawing on perspectives and expertise from a variety of fields to generate responsible, practical, and forward-thinking solutions. The AI & Society College would like to welcome the University at Albany community to attend the AI for Good Challenge's Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Join us as we kick off the event and welcome our cross-campus interdisciplinary teams to UAlbany on Oct.16 from 8:30-9:30am and again on when we award prizes to our winning teams on Oct.
